ABOUT THE CONCERT

The swirling energy of Anna Clyne’s Masquerade provides the perfect introduction to selections from Prokofiev’s ballet Romeo & Juliet. His big, brassy, and romantic score beautifully captures Shakespeare’s story of the fateful and forbidden star-crossed lovers.

As the only American to ever win the International Chopin Competition, pianist Garrick Ohlsson is a legend among pianists. This Grammy-winning artist takes on Rachmaninoff’s Second Piano Concerto, brimming with beauty, power, and passion.
