What's Hot On Broadway: Fall 2017

Now that fall is underway, there are many great shows that have recently opened or are opening soon on Broadway. Read on to learn more!

New musical, Prince of Broadway, looks at the storied career of American theatre legend, Harold Prince. Just a few of Prince's contributions include A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Evita and Fiddler on the Roof

The first musical revival of the fall is Once On This Island. The cast includes Lea Salonga, Merle Dandrige and, winner of an international search, newcomer Hailey Kilgore as Ti Moune. 

Broadway will soon be heading to a pineapple under the sea when SpongeBob SquarePants begins on Nov. 6. Grammy Award-winning songwriters including Cyndi Lauper, Steven Tyler and more collaborated to bring SpongeBob to the stage as he attempts to save Bikini Bottom. 

Fall has brought many plays to New York City's Broadway theatres--including a revival of M. Butterfly. Originally produced in 1988, this revival of M. Butterfly stars Oscar nominee Clive Owen and is directed by Tony winner Julie Taymor. 

Emmy winner John Leguizamo brings a new solo comedy to Broadway: Latin History for Morons. This special theatrical event brings 500 years of Latin history to theatre goers this fall. 

Pulizter Prize-winning playwright Ayad Akhtar brings his new work, Junk, to Broadway's Lincoln Center Theater. This Wall Street thriller looks at a financial mastermind who has made millions on his "debt is an asset" theory.
